The West Country Meeting is currently our only 2-day event, as well as being one of two events where there is an additional ladies trophy on Day 1. There is also a ladies prize on Day 2. Burnham & Berrow is an outstanding links course and, as with all links courses, particularly challenging when there is anything more than a gentle breeze. The men have 18 hole individual Stableford competitions over the Championship course on both days, competing for the Perth Quaich on Day 1 and the Ronnie Pew Trophy on Day 2, with the Jack Bryan's Trophy an additional trophy for the Over 70s on Day 1. The ladies also play two rounds on the Championship course, competing for the Ladies Challenge Trophy on Day 1 and a ladies prize on Day 2. There will be a slightly later than usual start on Day 1, with the first tee-time being just after 1330 - the later start allows us to reduce the impact of increased green fees by a significant amount. There will also be a later start on Day 2, due to pressure on the available tee-times, with the first tee-time just after 1200. This is a very sociable event, with the Captain's Drinks followed by dinner - followed for most by more drinks - on the evening of Day 1. ACCOMMODATION |
