The Society's Late Summer meeting at Huntercombe was as good as ever. Despite the hot spell and drought conditions the course played well with the tee boxes in great condition and the greens, while slower than normal for Huntercombe, were running true.
The difficulties of the hard ground were evident in the results with only Andrew Garbutt achieving a par round in the singles. The foursomes were slightly better with our two ladies, Lizzie and Pauline, playing to par over 11 holes and Andrew and his guest, David Signorelli going on better.
As always, we were made extremely welcome at Huntercombe – a great course, fantastic lunch, and some good golf!
