2017 Tour to Lincolnshire
16 Tourists, including one guest, enjoyed a superb week of golf and companionship, playing great courses in Lincolnshire. Based at Woodhall Spa in the Petwood Hotel, the former Officers Mess of 617 Squadron, we played the Hotchkin, Seacroft (Skegness), Sleaford and The Bracken. The Tour was organised by The Aero Captain, Jeff Turner, who organised and ran what we all felt was a superb four days. Next year we are going to Norfolk and look forward to a few more members joining the tourist ranks.

ay the Society was represented at the unveiling of a plaque on the wall of Sunningdale G.C. to honour Air Commodore Ferdinand Maurice Felix West V.C. by the President, the Captain and Peter Bedford. Paddy spoke about his memories of “Freddy” West and his amazing gallantry. A group of around 60 people heard from the Captain of Sunningdale and a local chaplain. Halfway through the ceremony, a lone Tiger Moth flew overhead.
